The prevailing wind often gives this hole its "teeth". Ideally the tee shot should find the left side of the fairway but the slope and the wind can make this easier said than done. If the drive is allowed to drift right deep rough, broom and more trees come into play.

The cross bunkers (one at 180 yards and the other at 315 yards) must be a consideration for the shorter and longer hitters.

This is a large green and is the flattest on the course. It is protected by bunkers either side, the right-hand one is the deepest on the course and it is not unknown for players trapped under the face to play out sideways.
