This is the start of Sherwood’s version of "Amen Corner". Anyone who goes from here to the 14th in level par deserves respect.

A huge expanse of heather greets you as you stand on the tee. The fairway curves to the right. Trees and a bunker wait to trap anyone trying to cut too much from the corner.

The 2nd shot must avoid 2 bunkers carefully positioned short of the green. Around the green, the left hand bunker gathers many shots that seemed destined to roll onto the putting surface.
