<p>COMPETITION FORMAT 36-holes Medal. TEES Green Tees. </p>
<p>Open to Gentlemen (including Juniors) who are members of a recognised Golf Club and with a Handicap Index 3.8 or less. Field is limited to 66 Gentlemen – if exceeded higher handicaps will be balloted out. CDH no. required for non SFGC members. Closing date for entries Monday 23rd June at 12pm. No refund within 14 days of the event.</p>
<p>OTHER CONDITIONS The winner will be the player with the best Gross score. In the event of a tie after 36 holes medal play, the Championship winner will be decided by a 'Sudden Death' play-off over holes 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. In the event of a tie the nett winner will be decided on the 2nd round (last 18 holes), should that fail to produce a result then the result will be decided on count back over the last 9 holes, then 6, then 3, then 1 as calculated automatically via the IG System. 95% course handicap allowance will apply for nett scores. For nett scores the playing handicap for both rounds to be calculated using the handicap index at the start of the 1st round. A free practice round is available on any weekday in the week preceding the day of the competition.</p>
<p>Club Notes: The Club reserve the right to refuse an entry, or having accepted, subsequently reject an entry where, in its reasonable opinion, there is evidence to suggest that the player’s Handicap Index does not reflect their demonstrated ability. All entries are subject to the approval of the committee, which reserves the right to disqualify any person making a false statement in their on-line entry and/or to accept or refuse or, having accepted, subsequently reject any entry without giving reasons for its decision. Where required, any entry fee will be refunded. The competition will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Limited and the Local Rules as approved by the committee. All visitors on the day are temporary Members and are bound by the rules of the Club. All players must register at the Golf shop on arrival. It is also the responsibility of each player to ensure that they and their equipment are adequately insured whilst at the Club. Please check that items of value are not left in the Lockers Rooms. Sherwood Forest Golf Club does not accept responsibility for items mislaid, stolen, or lost on its premises. Visitors and Members must follow reasonable guidance and instruction from SFGC Company Members of Staff at all times.</p>
